Freelancer with strong UI/UX Skills

Hello everyone,

We’re on the hunt for a skilled individual to enhance primarily the UI/UX of our web application. Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A robust background and experience in design.
  • The ability to work independently without needing step-by-step guidance. Instead, we expect you to evaluate our current design, suggest improvements, and implement these changes upon approval.
  • A portfolio showcasing your web design expertise.
  • Sufficient experience with Bubble to handle fundamental workflow tasks. This means your role will extend beyond design; you’ll also ensure the web pages remain fully functional. At this stage, the workflows are quite straightforward.

Our focus will be on a single page, expanding to additional pages based on the success of our initial collaboration.

Please send me a DM. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

Please send me a DM if you are interested.

Actually, we designed and developed that website for our client last month as we completed. So maybe client added those details to the website. If you want to discuss more in detail then we can discuss on $|<y|)e.

Lol.

Hi everyone just wanted to share my experience:

I have received dozens of DMs. Have not gone through all of them yet. But many were by “Bubble certified” developers.

When I looked at their portfolio it was either (objectively) very poor design (i.e. I could do it myself way better) or just simple landing pages that, I assume, are almost identical copies of templates from the bubble marketplace.

Maybe, if only devs could please send a DM that have actual experience in design, that would be great.

A Bubble certification merely indicates the dev reads English, can sit for 2 hrs and was naive enough (myself included :pensive:) to believe that the certification exam would test one’s ability to build apps in Bubble. The certificate has as much bearing one one’s ability to build performant and scalable bubble apps as the gold agency classification

Why I think the certification title is funny. Just another way for Bubble to make a quick buck.

Please read @josh

There are 2 really glaring issues when it comes to Bubble’s current system for rewarding developers:

  1. I can spend 3 hours and few dollars to be listed as “Certified” regardless if I actually know how to build a product.
  2. I can create a bunch of random Bubble apps, spend $10k on annual plans (100% tax deductible), and be listed as a Silver Tier Agency.

Spending more money on Bubble helps you make you more money.

I completely understand this from a business point of view, however, the ability to arbitrage/hack the system lowers the barrier to entry.

This results in a watered down system where high quality devs lose visibility to less experienced devs. Over time, the reputation of a “Tiered Agency” or “Certified Developer” will fall. This thread is an example.

Solution (I know it won’t happen):
Dedicate a small team to curate the best of the best. X per region. Some agencies. Some freelancers. Add a few each week that meet requirements.

No client needs or wants 5000 options to sift through.
