was having all kinds of wonky stuff happening, we were getting nervous about using bubble. switched to firefox and poof. problems gone. 
we have tested about a dozen different deployed bubble sites on a bunch of different browser/os’s and it just seems that my ubuntu/chrome combo was the problem. and just in dev mode

Chrome is very secure but facing too many issues while installing Chrome on ubuntu.
