# Get details from clicking on a place in Google Maps

I want to be able to zoom in on the map, click on the marker for a restaurant or a business and populate text inputs with the details of the restaurant/business (name, address, rating, etc.).

I tried setting the content of the input to equal “Map A’s current marker’s name” but when I select something on the map, the Google Maps popup shows on the map, but nothing gets populated in the text input.

I believe you can try out this with some plugins.

As far as I see they may have exposed states with values from on screen map makers.

Also worth considering to check the bubble manual on how to set the map and geolocation - [https://manual.bubble.io/working-with-data/setting-up-google-api-keys](https://manual.bubble.io/working-with-data/setting-up-google-api-keys)  
with google.

I have not solved the problem yet. The other comment on this thread did not help to solve it. The plugins referenced do not provide the functionality I’m looking for.
