Global Variables For Conditional Formatting [SOLVED]

Dear People,

Do you know if it is possible to set global variables as such?

For example, I have a number of obbects whose conditional formating conditions is the same but rather comlex, so it would be nice to be able to set (somewhere) a global variable that I could refer to in setting conditional formating for objects? So if I need to chage multiple object’s conditional formating I would just go and chage the global variable.

Please let me know if you have any sugeestions/ideas.

Hey Alex, :slight_smile: My apologies if I’m not understanding your question correctly, but have you tried creating a single custom state and changing the conditional formatting for multiple objects based on the value of that custom state? If you can share a link to your app with some more information about what you’re trying to set up on the page, I’d be happy to take a look!

The problem is that custome state need to be set, does it not?

I was thinking of some sort of automaticly re-calculated custom state that would change if variables of its calculation change…

But I think I have just unsvered my own question: I could set up a scrip on condition that would trigger change of custom state.

That sounds right! :slight_smile: You can create ‘When Page is loaded’ or ‘Do When Condition is True’ (every time) workflows which change the value of the custom state depending on what happens with the other variables.
