It seems Bubble quietly rolled out another small but helpful ‘quality of life’ update (or it’s been there for years and I missed it somehow 
).
When your datatype contains a field which is a reference to another data type, you can click the value to directly modify the referenced record. When you hover the mouse pointer over it, the text ‘Go to linked entry’ pops up.
Click it and you will be able to modify the referenced record.
