GoCardless will roll out international direct debits in 2020

Extracted from their email:

I’m excited to share that we are launching the first global network for recurring payments. This is a totally new way of collecting international payments without the hassle and admin of traditional methods. It means you can now collect international recurring payments through one bank account.

We’re also announcing that we are partnering with foreign exchange specialist TransferWise, which will give you access to the most competitive ‘real’ exchange rate. It has always been important that our pricing is simple and fair and we are proud to offer this new service within one fixed fee, with no hidden costs.

Launching across 30 countries and eight currencies it will be available to all of our customers via a phased roll-out, starting later this month, concluding in early 2020.

This is a major leap forward in our mission to take the pain out of getting paid so you can focus on what you do best. It is the result of years of hard work by our product and banking teams and I’m really excited to see the new use cases and opportunities we will unlock for our customers.

Thank you for your ongoing trust in GoCardless.

This is awesome… I hate charging with Creditcards so this is a really good thing.
