Okay turns out the only error I had on Google Cloud console was for not having the test user in my permissions.
I am still stuck with events being added to the google calendar, but not actually adding to the app even though I am creating the event on the app. I have checked all my privacy settings and have them set up to if current user is logged in they can see everything.
Do you have any more suggestions?
