Group by year option

Hi,

How can I group by date and the “Type of grouping” be per year?

Do a search for the items that will populate your list, then selected group by. In the group by menu, select the date field your want to group by in Field 1 to group by. The Type of grouping is month, set the interval to 12, and put Jan 1st of the year you want to start the groups as the Starting Date.

Thanks @jdiaz. I did that and didn´t worked.

I have a field in users that is birth date. I want a chart that groups users by year and show me how many users where born in that year.

@hacker - try adding an aggregation to the group by and select count. See if that does what you need to it do. If not, add another field to the user that is a number and then extract the year from the birthdate. Then do a grouping on the year number.

Yep, I´ve had the “count” aggregation. Adding another field like that in the type that I need to can mess up some things in my app. But thanks for the help.
