How anyone experienced a vanishing record?

Hi folks,

This one is new for me. I have a missing record in a system that is only used by me. I don’t have any automation that deletes records and I have the ID of the record that was created, but when I went to go find it, it isn’t there.

I checked the logs, and there’s nothing in the server logs that shows the record being deleted, but the Trigger on the object clearly shows the record being created. However, there’s no sign of it in the database.

The record was created by an API external to Bubble via the Data API. The object trigger fired and the new ID was recorded in the Bubble Server logs. It is even being referenced by a related object record. But the record isn’t there. I checked I was in the correct Live vs Dev App data tab, and I don’t have any constraints on my view.

This is truly puzzling.

Seems this issue has several layers.

For troubleshooting only, I granted access to Everyone and the record showed up on the site, but it is still not visible in the Bubble UI “App data” tab.

I guess that’s better than nothing, but I really need to open the record up and inspect it.

OK, this is for sure a Bubble UI bug. UI shows “1 entries (displaying 1)” but not actually display records:

I reached out to Bubble support to report the issue.

Actually, I’m a knucklehead. That blank row is the record. :man_facepalming:
