How Can I Pass Data and Display Data in Reusable Elements

I have a reusable menu focus with a popup, I want to populate the popup which is meant to edit the current page data, but I can’t seem to get it to work. I have changed the data source of the reusable on the page in question, but when I go to edit the element, I can’t seem to be able to populate the inputs with the data I want.

Is the multiline input inside of a group placed within the reusable element? It looks like it is to me, and likely you did not pass to the group the parent groups thing.
