How do I make my separator wider for my repeating group?

See the output below and my 20px wide separator that doesn’t seem to be impacting my output.

You could use a group separator at the bottom of the cell group

The best way around this is to not rely on the separator at all and put all of the cell’s elements in a group. Treat that group as your background and if you size it accordingly, there will be a ‘separation’ between the bottom of that group and the top of the next cell.
