How do we stop the cascade of additional variables from presenting

How do we stop the cascade of additional variables from presenting when
we’ve already stated the parameters of what we want? I can’t seem to have the first WHEN statement stay active without continuing to add additional conditions

That happens when you’re having a type issue. in this case, for instance, you’re trying to compare “This input’s value” with something. That something needs to be a text, and until it’s not a text, the composer will keep prompting you for more.

You should think about what you want to compare the input to. It is a text, so which text, from the search, are we talking about?

Similar for another typical situation: if the type of content of a group is a user, and you try to define the data source as “Current user’s email”, it won’t work, because what you want to set is “Current user”. That’s because “Current user” is a user, while “Current user’s type” is a text.

Does that make sense? Thanks for posting this, this is a very important and core aspect of Bubble. Let me know if it’s not clear.
