Hi all,
I’m on the Starter plan where only one editor is allowed (me).
How do you involve freelancers or teammates in the development process?
Do you give them your login, use a cloned app, or something else?
Any tips or real-life workflows would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Options available:
- Someone with an Agency plan account can be added to your Starter plan project without counting towards the maximum numer of editors.
- Upgrading your app to Growth plan to add 1 collaborator
- Sharing your credentials with the freelancer
- As long as you are not developing at the same time, clone the app and transfer it to the dev. When the dev is done, the dev’s app must be exported and then imported in your own’s. The export requires a paid plan or being in a free trial. So, the dev can simply keep cloning the app every 2 weeks so as to benefit from the free trial.
I’ve personally have worked with option 1 and 2.

Thanks for the detailed reply!
From your experience, which option works best if I want to track what the freelancer is doing — especially in case they make mistakes or break something?
I mean visibility and control during the process, not just the final result.
I’d definitely upgrade to Growth.

Thanks! But just to clarify — what exactly does the Growth plan give in terms of tracking or control?
Can I actually see what the freelancer is doing (like logs, history, etc.) or is it just shared access?
I’m asking because $119/month is a bit steep if it’s just about adding another editor.
You can access the branch the dev is using. There is no formal log of what the dev is developing, but you can always preview the branch and see what it looks like.
You can also check progress by seeing the preview app with the rest of the options, but:
- Option 1, in case the dev does not have an Agency account, it costs 79$/mo * 12mo
- Option 3, exposes your account.
Option 4, you can actually check what’s the progress. You just need the dev to share the app link everytime it clones the app.
