I have created an autocomplete search box with the following structure:
It works great when I have 4 search results, see here:

But when I have less than 4 results there is lots of white space, see here:
How do I collapse the height of the outer most focus group (the one with the border styling etc) so that there is no white space?
If I can’t collapse the height of the focus group, how else could I structure this so that it displays correctly?

Good question!
Suggestion: Try choosing full list for the repeating group and shortening the group focus to one cell height. See if that will help.

Forgot about the layouts!
I changed it to extended scrolling and reduced the focus group to the size of a single cell (as you suggested) and it seems to have done the trick.
