How to create a messenger function

Hello,

I am making a marketplace app. I wanto to make a chat function for users. So for instance when you click on a product, there is a button called “chat with seller”, when you click this button it needs to be possible to chat with the seller. As i am new, I have no idea how to start. Are they any plugins or do i have to make my own messenger with workflows etc? Or are there any other things i can do? Any tips?

This would be a great starting point. It’s what I use on my site as well.
