How to lock adding/updating records in the db based on some condition?

Hi,
New to Bubble, sorry if the question is a bit noobish,

So, I have multiple plans a user can subscribe to, one of the plans sets the number of records a user can have in the Workflow table

I know how to hide the add button based on the number of records, but i want to make sure that this can’t be done also from the db side.

Like adding it to the workflow itself, but I don’t see any if conditions on the workflow items.

Just add the same condition to the workflow itself.
