How to make a add/minus click counter

I want to create an input with two buttons + and -, where a hotel booker can enter the number of guests by only clicking + or -. Once they click search there input will be used to provide corresponding data. Is there a way of doing a +/- clicker that does not save to the data base but works locally since users won’t be signed in.
