How to menu in a reusable element to change colour when clicked?

I am very new to bubble and have been learning by following the following youtube video.

I am currently following the instructions as found in the video at following timestamp.

I have taken the following steps following the demo in the video. Since the video was recorded about a year ago, the current bubble interface does not exactly match what I see in the video. However, I have closely followed the instructions:

  1. Go to ‘Header-Menu’ Reusable Element
  2. Click on ‘Clients’ Menu
  3. Click on ‘Conditional’ TAB.
  4. Add:
WHEN > ‘Current page name’ ‘is’ ‘Clients’
(Type the text ‘Clients’ and then click on the ‘Custom Text’ to select)
    THEN
‘Font weight’ = 800 (extra bold)
  5. Go to ‘Preview’ and check whether the menu changes when the
page url value is changed to ‘projects’, ‘settings’ etc.
  6. After completing the steps, if i go to ‘preview’ and check by clicking on the menu, I do not see the menu color or the size change as per my configuration. Need help to know what I could be doing wrong and how to get this feature to work. Appreciate some help. Thanks in advance. Festus

Could you share screenshots of what you have done?

Reusable Element - Conditional Tab Config.

Reusable Element - Interaction Tab Config

Preview of ‘Clients’ Menu clicked. The menu colour or the font size does not change

It appears you are using “Clients” and your page name is “clients” try that and see.

Thank you Kim and dbom009.

you were spot on dbom009. Changing ‘Clients’ to ‘clients’ resolved the issue.

Appreciate the prompt assistance.

I am updating here an image showing the ‘accidental mistake’ made while adding the ‘conditional text’ and the proper step to avoid the mistake. Hope it will help someone else who might encounter such issue in future. Festus
