I am trying to create a chart in a repeating group that basically displays a company structure. The top row of the repeating group is the CEOs and the “Reports to” field is empty. The next row of the repeating group will contain all the users in which the “Reports to” field contains the unique IDs of CEOs in the row above. The row after this will then contain all the users in which the “Reports to” field contains the unique ids of the people in the row above and so on.
Because this hierarchy isn’t structured numerically, and I think running an API workflow to sort the company into a numerical hierarchy (where 1 is CEOs, 2 is the next level down and so on) is not the most efficient solution, I’m thinking their must be a way to do this in the repeating group filtering or using a client-side plugin.
Essentially I can’t find a way to tell filter the data source of my repeating group to “show all users with “Reports To” field equal to the unique ids of the people in the previous cell”
Would love any assistance possible. Thanks
