How to open a new tab from API workflow

I generate a URL in my API workflow.
I would like at the end of the API workflow to automatically open this URL in a new tab.
Any idea of how to do that ?

Thanks

You can’t do that from the backend workflows as they are on the server and not a page.

The only way to open the URL is to setup the backend workflows to track when the URL has been generated so that on the page you have things setup to know when that URL has been generated. I do this using custom workflow triggers when data changes and incorporate a data type called processor. I create the processor when trigger the backend workflow and trigger the custom workflow when data changes on page for the processor.

Then I can use the workflow action to open an external website in the custom workflow on the page.

However, you can not open in a new tab. There are no workflow actions available for navigation to open in a new tab. Stuck with same tab.

You can save the url onto a new field you create (such as New Tab Link) on the user, and then on the page have a condition that says when Current Users' New Tab Link is not empty you run the javascript window.open("Current Users' New Tab Link");, then clear that field.

It won’t be instant, but it’ll work.
