I have just started using bubble and this forum is pretty cool and useful.
Just wonder how did bubble make it, is there a premade forum which can be used or did they make it from scratch?

Bubble uses Discourse for this forum.
it depressed me it’s not a bubble.io hand made
So just keep in mind that the forum came out in 2015 or 2016. Bubble wasn’t as easy or powerful as it is now. To migrate all the data to a new custom made forum would be a huge pain in the butt.
Should they redo it in 2023, possibly. But that would take resources away from other things. And as the saying goes… If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
All that aside, it’s possible to make something like this in bubble, but it’s actually harder than you think, requiring a lot of really special attention put on user experience due to sluggish data loads with bubble. But at the same time, bubble would be able to have a more dynamic array of options.
At the end of the day, if someone really wants to make a forum copy like this, it’s doable, just needs optimizations.
I’ll be putting out my first template in a few weeks. It’s going to be minimal but it will show how to properly create a messaging feature that has a proper chat RG that loads from the bottom without a plugin. There will be other items too like a custom emoji picker that you can build yourself, and other stuff without plugin requirements. That should give some people a starting spot for the really “non native bubble” features you need to implement.
thanks, and appreciate your reply Why it is not a bubble
however, a blog like that is the best practice for how bubble deal with big-size data and performance and here is the risk on the platform
