I cannot "bring to front" an element. Please help!

I have a “mobile menu” that shows after clicking a hamburger icon.

Within that mobile menu, I want users to be able to open a second “profile menu” by clicking on their profile picture. The profile menu is another element that should appear on top of the original mobile menu.

The problem I am having is that the profile menu does not display on top of the mobile menu. Instead, it is hidden behind it.

I have tried “bring to front” on the profile menu, but it doesn’t help.
I have tried “send to back” on the mobile menu, but it doesn’t help.
I have tried show/hide workflows on the profile menu, but it doesn’t help.

I’ve been at this simple task all day and I’m stuck.

FINALLY GOT IT!

I needed to group all the element together and THEN use “bring to front”. Once they were grouped it worked.

Hope that helps anyone else having the same trouble.
