I just published an idea to remove from the marketplace plugins that are no longer supported

It doesn’t seem right to me that plugins that are no longer supported with developers that disappear into thin air and no longer provide support continue to keep alive in the Marketplace.

Bubble should protect us in this and in extreme cases offer refunds.

You can find my proposal here: Suggest a Feature on the Bubble Ideaboard | Bubble

Vote for it if you agree!

This is hard to know for Bubble that a plugin is not supported anymore. Theses plugins could also be useful even if not supported. I think also that Bubble could give a refund if you have issue with a plugin and dev doesn’t support it anymore.

All plugins prior to marketplace listing are vetted and confirmed to work by bubble. I think that is about the farthest they can realistically go in terms of protecting people from purchases of plugins not supported. That, and in combination with the known best practice of subscribing to test in your app it works for your use case prior to purchasing at one time fee is sufficient protection.

After that, it’s more like ‘buyer beware’ and maybe read reviews, check documentation and support or reach out to developer of plugin prior to purchase.

Hi, I agree with you with everything you wrote. But in my case I’ve been using that plugin for more than a year. Always updated and well kept I never had a problem until a month ago. Probably with the last update something broke, but the developer no longer responds either on the forum or to the email indicated. This doesn’t seem right to me either. If then there was a button to report as no longer supported, at least even if it remains in the marketplace people are aware of what they buy, if they want.

It wouldn’t be. If there was a button, for example, it marked as no longer supported. An alert would arrive to Bubble that could check the situation by contacting the developer for example…
