Identify an existing customer

While adding a new lead in a crm app that I am building the ‘ identifier’ is the email id. How can I get an alert upon the email field is filled whether it’s an existing customer/ email? If it’s an existing customer, it should auto populate rest of the contact details. Rather than doing this in the workflow?

Hi there, @narayan… if I understand your post correctly, it sounds like you need a workflow that triggers when the email input’s value is changed, and that workflow could populate custom states with the appropriate contact details if a search for the email address finds an existing customer. Then, if you set the Initial content of the input elements to the custom states, the contact details should appear in the inputs if an existing customer is found.
