Import bulk data from client to client's datatypes

Hi bubblers

Most of my clients or leads are frequently asking me wether Is it possible to import data from elsewhere, generally speaking from excel.

I do not know yet how to do it or to approach it efficiently. Many of them might have many, hundreds, maybe thousands of rows. How would you do it efficiently and what are the best practices?
