Improved filters

Please if anyone knows how to do this in a more optimal way… tell me

I’m trying to filter users by this field, using a multidropdown but it takes a long time to go through all the users using :filtered

Is there a smarter way to do this?

Hi there, @lukinhapophack… filter users how and for what purpose? What do your data types look like? What does your current filter look like?

Best…
Mike

Hi … Mike This filter is a DB search to find users who have such requirements.

The data types I’m trying to filter is what’s above in the post… (List of tests)
and test is a table from my DB

What I want is to choose the “tests” in a multidropdown and the users who have one or more items that are in that dropdown appear in the repeater group…

I’m guessing your advanced filter looks something like this.

One way to get away from using an advanced filter would be to have a data type that stores a thing for each association between a user and a test. With that data type in place, the repeating group’s data source could look like this.

I assume the search would be more performant than the advanced filter seeing as how the system wouldn’t be returning every user to the browser and then trying to filter them on the client side.

Anyway, just food for thought there, and I hope it helps.
