Hello,
Soon I will develop my first mobile app through Bubble. The app is some sort of loyalty program that - once a plan is purchased - gives benefits in real life physical stores.
It appears that I can bypass the Apple/Google payment platform in some condition. This is from Bubble’s documentation :
When in-app purchases are not required
Apple and Google allow external payment methods for certain categories of goods and services. These include:
- Physical goods and services (such as ecommerce purchases or ride bookings)
- Services consumed outside the app (such as a meal delivered or a ride taken)
- Business-to-business transactions
- Donations to nonprofit organizations
For these categories, you can use any payment processor, including Stripe, PayPal, or others integrated through Bubble’s API connector or plugins.
I believe my app falls into that category. I should be allowed to record payment outside the stores ecosystem.
Now my questions :
- How do I proove to the stores that my app is based around a physical real world usage ? Is this reliable in the long run ? (meaning they will not deactivate my app at some point because a guy at Apple or Google reviewed the apps and though otherwise about my app)
- Given a Stripe payment is allowed, how do that translates into my UX signup flow? Is this an embedded browser, or should it open outside my app a browser tab?
Thanks
