Is there a limitation wrt passing data from a floating group input to a popup?

hi
am trying to rework a page and have moved the elements from a group into a floating group to improve UI, but the input’s value in the floating group isn’t being passed to a popup even though the type of content is correct and popup’s data source is set to the input’s value.

this used to work fine when the input was in a group.
do floating groups have any limitations wrt to inputs?
any obvious reason why this wouldn’t work?

Floating groups work just like regular groups…

So whatever issue you’re. having, it’s nothing to do with the Floating Group.
