For our tourism business, we ran a simple staff app via ‘Appmachine.com.’ However, they are discontinuing their service and have advised me to migrate the staff app elsewhere. This has led me to the no-code world, which is somewhat more complex compared to the UI of Appmachine. I am looking for someone who can set up the foundation of this app so I can then populate it. Important features of this app:
• I need to be able to easily add employees to the app, with a password generated for them that they can later modify if necessary. Registration should not be possible.
• I should be able to deactivate employees who are temporarily not working without directly deleting them. An inactive user should still be able to log in but not see anything in the app.
• In the employees’ profiles, I need to add a photo, birthday, bio, phone number, and job title. Additionally, I should be able to assign the profile to a group, which will determine what the user can view in the app.
• Based on the photos, a staff directory should be generated, a page displaying an overview of all active employees, including photo, birthday, job title, and phone number. With search function.
• The app’s homepage should show which employees have their birthday today. If no one has a birthday, the text should display who is next to celebrate. The homepage should also show which updates were most recently made in the app (e.g., new employee added, text document X updated).
• A calendar where I can add important events relevant to our company. Ideally, birthdays of active employees are automatically added to the calendar and automatically removed when an employee is deleted or set to inactive. (I added this bold text later)
• Under the documents menu, there should be items like our house rules, work instructions, and our general handbook. With search function. These are extensive documents, with many sub-sections. I don’t want to add these as PDFs, as I don’t want the texts to be easily shared digitally.
• A page where users can suggest improvements within the company, with the option for users to upvote these suggestions. The suggestions with the most votes appear at the top of this page. Users can only vote once.
• The group(s) to which a user is assigned will determine which work instructions they can view in the app. It should be possible to link a user to multiple groups. Some employees work in multiple departments and therefore need access to multiple sets of work instructions.
• I want to emphasize that this app will primarily be viewed on mobile phones, so it must be perfectly viewable on a mobile device. Functioning well in a browser on a computer or tablet is of secondary importance. (I added this bold text later)
We are a company based in the Netherlands, so the frontend of the app should be in Dutch, but I can ultimately handle the translation myself. It is not intended to be an app store app; a mobile web app will suffice.
Although I have explored Bubble quite a bit, I currently lack a clear overview of what Bubble can and cannot do. I am keen to connect with Bubble developers who can set up the above features for me and who have the expertise to potentially make this staff app even better.
