Make Repeating Group Appear Over Other Elements

I am creating a custom search box by using an input field and a repeating group where the repeating group datasource is the input field.

Is there a way to make the repeating group appear over existing elements, like a traditional search box, instead of pushing the other elements down?

Hi there, @jason.h… I never use floating groups, but I’m sure that is exactly what they are for. Have you tried putting the repeating group in a floating group?

I have tried that but they cannot be attached to an element. I have also tried a GroupFocus as well. I have the GroupFocus show when the value of the input changes but it only appears when I click and hold outside of the input box.

Aw, crap… I actually meant group focus, and I don’t use those either.

Can you share screenshots of the set up of that group?

Put your repeating group in the responsive group that lets you anchor an item to a location in the group (can’t remember the name… Not fixed or row or column… the other one).

Then you can overlay things in any way you want.
