This feels like a bug… you can only get map marker images from the table you are searching, which means if all your markers are the same you have to add it to the database, a new field, with exactly the same image data repeated. Not very useful that way. Also, the drop down allows you to select text fields as well, which do not display anything. This would be much more useful as a dynamic field.
