Hello all,

When using the Microsoft Oauth function I keep getting a pop-up error saying “Text too long for this field”. I don’t get this for all users. Any idea what might be causing this? Is there anything I can do to fix or work around this issue?

Hey @it_subscriptions

Welcome to the Bubble Community! :tada: :confetti_ball:

A few options to debug:

  1. If you can use the debugger while on step-by-step, sometimes that will help give you more information about what is going on.
  2. Use the logs that Bubble provides to see if you can see which field has text that is too long and it might show you what the text is.
  3. Create your own dataType called ‘Dev Log’ or something like that so you can add values in it and check to see what values are being passed along to see why the text is too long for the field.

Does that help point you in the right direction? Let us know.

Has anyone found the cause of this issue? We also have this issue starting a few weeks ago, just affecting one user (me), and today a 2nd user is having the exact same issue. I have submitted a bug report, which has been referred to a specialist team, so I am hoping they might have an answer.

Also having this issue with one of the clients, specifically using Microsoft oAuh. Logging and debugging according to J805 won’t work as we don’t have access to “hidden” bubble built-in fields like tokens and such. Also submitted a support request.
