Hi everyone,
Nick from the Mobile team here with an exciting update on the deploy flow process for mobile.
What’s new
We now validate your developer keys and IDs in-editor when you’re getting ready to deploy to the app stores. This will help you catch issues like incorrect or mismatched keys before your deploy and make it smoother to get your apps accepted in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
If you are new, this should give you more confidence in your first build.
If you have already connected your app to the app stores, you’ll simply need to click “connect to the app store” and validate your existing settings before your next deploy.
How to validate your developer keys:
- Go to the Settings tab > Native mobile and select the app store you want to connect to [image]
- Use the new checklist and documentation to set up your Apple and Google developer accounts and prepare the required keys. [image]
- Enter the required information into the associated fields. [image]
- Click Connect and Bubble will automatically validate your keys for you.
Notes:
- If your connection is successful, you’ll see a confirmation message and a green Connected badge will show up on the sidebar next to the name of the app store you’ve successfully connected to.You’ll now be able to deploy to the app store. Note: You can always edit the keys by clicking edit, updating the information, and re-connecting.
- If your connection is not successful, you’ll receive an inline error message that tells you which field is incorrect.
- While this validation step will catch the most common build failure issues, it is still possible that your build could fail for some other reason. If your build fails, you will receive an email with the error message so you can correct it and try again.
We hope this helps with smoother builds and an easier time getting your app into the app store. Thanks for building your native mobile app on Bubble!
Nick
