Hi Gaurav - Question for you - is the following working as intended? I’m using an EasyList in combination with a ListProcessor on a page to loop through a list of records, during each loop adding a list of records from the current value to the EasyList. It works great (thank you!) but throws an error (see attached) when trying to add a null list to the current value inside the ListProcessor workflow. This is quickly solved by checking for empty lists before adding to the EasyList, but I was a bit surprised it was required in order to handle the error,…? I believe so - I’m using a nested ListProcessor in my app and it’s working well. Pretty cool

Yeah I think it doesnt account for the case where the list itself evaluates to null. You’re right in skipping that step if null. I’ll include a implicit check for that inside the plugin in a future update.

So if I would like to call this:

Hi @adunniola,
Anything you can create an expression for inside the repeating group cell can be extracted
For instance if you have a hidden multiline input in the cell, and set the initial content of it to whatever text you’d like extracted (no restrictions; even conditional formatting can be used). Just provide the value of this multiple input as one of the things to the extractor and you’re all set.

For now you can simply filter out the item the usual bubble way i.e. using filtered action. The revert to previous is an ‘undo’ action. I’ll be adding a remove item from list action to Easylist element.

I ran into an issue with nested cycles using Listprocessor.

I am working on a project management app. In my data structure I have an entity called Factors (e.g. vacation, tech problem, knowledge gap), each one of these Factors has a number of different Impacts (e.g. delays the project, reduces capacity, etc.).

For all Factors that belong to a certain stage of a project I need to make a change to each Impact depending on the Factor it belongs to. So I want to do something like:

for each Factor 
{
for each Impact
{
if the Factor of the current Impact = current Factor then do X;
}
}

For that I have created 2 Listprocessor elements and a state:

Listprocessor_Factors launches the outer loop. It sets the State_Factor with the current Factor and triggers Listprocessor_Impacts for the list of Impacts that belong to the given project stage.
Listprocessor_Impacts is expected to trigger the inner loop and go over all the Impacts in the list. However that does not happen: once the “if” condition is false, the inner loop is stopped and the next iteration of the outer loop proceeds.

That’s how it looks like

Set State:

Outer loop goes on for the complete list of Factors, however the inner loop is interrupted once the “Only when” condition is false:

Hi @gaurav - I’m getting an error when using “Set to list- easylist” - see below. It works for other lists I’ve been using, so I’m not sure why this particular list is generating this error. I’ve pasted the error, the list that isn’t working, and one of the lists that is working below. Thanks in advance!
Edited to add - it appears that the list is getting created after I run the event twice. I only get the error the first time after page load, but the second time (and subsequent ones) works ok - it generates the list (as long as I don’t re-load the page). So I don’t know why the error is getting thrown on the initial run, but obviously not a great customer experience to have to click through the gnarly message, close the popup, don’t refresh the page, and then run the event again,… would love your input, thanks.

I have an issue when using repeating group tools bdk.

as you can see from the pic, I want to show RGextractor’s Column 1 List. (and the list is a list of selected input - Input Current cell’s cost price)
But I guess, when the initial content of the input is a dynamic data, it seems like the list doesn’t exist. ( I can’t find the list text in preview page)
Do you know why? Any solutions?

I have a list of Things called Events. The fields contained within are Name and Description.
I’m trying to compile a paragraph of text with these events, and place the result back into another Thing in the DB.
ie. get all the events (could be one or more).
if it’s event number 1 Place Text Option 1 around the event name and description (eg. Intro text to my {Event Name}, and intro text to my {Event Description}.)
if it’s event number 2 or Greater Place Text Option 2 around the event name and description (eg. Different Intro text to {Event Name}, and different intro text to my {Event Description}.)
Take this resulting compiled list and save to a Result field in the DB.
Can one of the BDK Utilities Help accomplish this? I’m guessing Transform List?

Same question as John.
I need to run it on some nested objects, and whenever I run one List Processor from within another it loses it’s place/context.

For example, if I have this data structure: A Presentation has Slides and Slides have Bullet Points

Presentation A

Slide 1
- Bullet 1.1
- Bullet 1.2
Slide 2
- Bullet 2.1
- Bullet 2.2
Slide 3
- Bullet 3.1
- Bullet 3.2
- Bullet 3.3

I can run through a List Processor on the Slides just fine. But when I try to run a List Processor on the Bullets within each slide (maintaining knowledge of their parent Slide), they run in a somewhat arbitrary order and lose their connection to the parents.

When I spit out console logs I can get things like:

→ Working on Bullet 1.1
→ Working on Bullet 2.1
→ Working on Bullet 3.2
→ Working on Bullet 1.2

etc.

I couldn’t see a way to use the “List Processor is Done” to prevent the higher level loop from continuing until it’s done.

Any help would be great.

I’m trying to use the transform list plugin. I have recreated the example you have shown, but I can’t get the output repeating group to show. The RGdata group is fine , with data showing but when i access Transform list there is nothing. I notice in the chrome dev error logs I get the fokkowing
At least 1 item is needed in source list to get property keys /Utilities–bdk–update–Transform-list-.js:9:103]Utilities–bdk–update–Transform-list-.js)
Any ideas?
