We have learned a lot from Bubble. I can’t believe we are now making real apps. Here is our second app on the Apple App Store that we published. Although it’s not on Bubble, we used all the things we learned from Bubble to create this app. Would love your feedback if you are looking for a budgeting app.
We have used many budgeting apps in the past. Our favorites when we are really tight on money is the Envelope budgeting system and the budget on a calendar system. So what we did was put them together in one app.
We will be using this app to replace our other budgeting app that we were using.
Hey! congrats on the launch. Also I second the whole envelope + calendar approach. I used to use Ynab but then it got over saturated with features etc.
You know something ive always wanted to do is a travel budget app that combines calendar and envelope. I’ve never been able to like set a max budget and put down $x for accommodation, $x for metro ticket, $x for flights, $x for one time concert ticket cost, and then have something tell me okay you can spend $y per day on food and entertainment. And have it dynamically update throughout the trip if i overspend one day.
There has been a lot of debate on the forum about ‘vibe’ coding and people leaving Bubble to do these things. I don’t want this to become one of those posts. I’ve been using Bubble for 10 years and I feel that the only reason I was able to build this app was because of what I learned with Bubble. I am proud of Bubble and what it has done over the years for me. I think it has been a great learning experience. I’ve been part of this community so long that I wanted to share with everyone what we’ve created with everyone we know here. We will continue to help people build on Bubble but will also expand our offerings to real coded apps if they ever want to transition. We have lost clients before because they switched to real coded apps when they grew enough. Now we can tell our clients that we can help them with the transition ‘from Bubble to Code’ if they want as well. So yeah, we want to share the good news about our app with our Bubble Community that we cherish so much and have known for 10+ years. Hope that’s ok.
