I have a app using the Spotify API (via Pathfix for OAuth) and it was all working great several months ago… but now I’m picking it back up it’s stopped working and I know it’s going to take me ages to remember what I did (I’ll be re-learning from scratch as I’ve been away from it for so long).
I suspect the token has expired, or my Pathfix account needs looking at, so I’m looking for a freelancer who may be able available to help me troubleshoot this faster then me having to relearn and resharpen my skills which I fear will be a slow and painful process going solo!
This sounds like a great fit for coaching. What do you think?
Also, what are you trying to get from the Spotify API? We can probably set you up without having to use Pathfix and just do it directly into the Bubble API connector so you don’t have to expose your API key to Pathfix.
Expiry is usually tricky to handle with Oauth the Bubble OAuth 2, system integrates it naturally …did you check if Pathfix pushed a recent update? What’s it showing in the logs?
I also have had issues with Pathfix but I’ve been ignoring it because I am focused on other parts of my project. Basically I’m building a social media manager and I need a way to track post views.
I’ve helped build a social media manager for a client before. That’s trickier as you have to manage multiple Oauths…They were tracking LinkedIn, twitter and Instagram. Which social media are you tracking/need help with?
Wow…that’s quite a number. IG, threads and Facebook have a similar parent developer portal so should be easier to setup…Google(YouTube) APIs are usually well documented and I’ve integrated drive and calendar Oauths before. Not much experience with Tiktok but could give it a look if you’d like. Email me at boluaaron@gmail.com when you want to work on this.
Looks like Spotify has also made some changes and no longer works with the Pathfix redirect url, so I’m keen to look into switching this so it’s going direct from Bubble to Spotify.
It still leaves me in the position that I’m probably going to have to re-learn things so I’d defo like to crack this with a freelancer for speed if possible!
