I am currently using Postmark for my email services. I am experiencing a significant issue with undelivered emails, leading to a high bounce rate (currently at 17%).

kindly guide me what should i do. to minimize the bounced rate and delete or remove the undelivered mails.

here are screenshots

From a bit of research, here’s what I could gather.

Determine What Causes Bounces

  • Examine Bounce Reports: Postmark offers thorough bounce report analysis. Examine these reports to determine the cause of email bounces (such as incorrect email addresses, problems with the receiving server, etc.).
  • Check Email Address Validation: Verify the validity of the email addresses included in your database. You can clean your email list by using email validation tools.

Delete Unsent Emails

  • Revise Your Contact List: Take email addresses that are invalid or undeliverable off your list. That way, bounce rates in the future will be lower.
  • Double Opt-In should be used: To make sure that new subscribers’ email addresses are legitimate and that they wish to receive your emails, use double opt-in.

Boost Delivery of Emails

  • Verify the Authenticity of Your Domain: Verify that SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are configured for your domain. This lowers the possibility of emails being tagged as spam and enhances email delivery.
  • Keep an eye on your sending habits: Do not send emails to lists that you have purchased or that contain a large number of incorrect addresses. This can damage the reputation of your sender.

Communicate with Current Subscribers

  • Send Engaged Users Emails: Sending emails should be concentrated on users who have recently interacted with your emails. This lowers the possibility of bounces and raises engagement rates.
  • Campaigns for Re-engagement: Attempt to reactivate dormant subscribers through focused marketing efforts. Take into consideration deleting them from your list if they don’t reply.

Maybe you know this or have implemented some of these tips, but I hope it helps.

hello.it is a bogus domain - mail delivery to email accounts (from your screenshot) that don’t exist “bounce”. Nothing to do with Postmark.

As a suggestion, clean up your email address list by using Postmarks delivered status webhooks and/or verifying your email addresses at onboarding time.
