@Bubble, why this update?
Why was this updated in a way that makes the privacy fields harder to scan?
At the very least, why wouldn’t the field names be sorted alphabetically by the visible display name, not the hidden/internal one?
Also, there’s now a lot of unused horizontal space. That space could be doing something useful, like showing:
• the field type
• notes, or at least a note icon
• related privacy rule context
• the same field across multiple privacy rules side by side
That would actually make this view more useful instead of just more spread out.
At the very least, since you guys seem to have updated the native checkbox, kindly share…
It’s a precursor to future updates with privacy rule granularity
So like “Search” would also be a column? Hopefully we get scoped API tokens next.
Yeah, they need to do this for the entire editor. I talked about it previously. The notes being in their own self-contained drawer doesn’t make sense. “Code” needs to have comments next to the “code.”
Totally, but that’s kind of my point.
I’m tired of getting “precursors” to some future thing while the actual thing we’re using today gets worse and the future thing never gets shipped.
Even if this is groundwork for more granular privacy rules, why does that stop @Bubble from alphabetizing the fields, adding search, showing the field type, or using the extra space better?
AKA basic usability things.
First time seeing you negative
Huh just noticed this. I like it, way better then the prior mess.
Not sure who to @ here but can we add a hover effect on rows? It’s dangerous to have a long empty white space between a checkmark and a privacy rule name.
Add 2 conditional, +20 field privacy rule, and you will see why this is so bad, Bubble editor design team really should work on a real app
Shared with the team, thanks
Another really helpful thing that correlates with 99% of user workflows. Usually when you create a new field the first thing you do immediately after is to allow visibility through privacy rules. They should be sorted by “Created date” or “Added date” so that the newest field is at the top. It’s really really annoying to hunt down the new field every time you make one. Thank you @fede.bubble !!
Also every new rule that is added is put into the alphabetical sort (by rule) without any focusing to that rule so when you create a rule it looks like nothing happened (unless you luckily are at the rule in the list where your new rules falls alphabetically) and even if you realize that something has you gotta scroll to the new rule…
