Is the entire header supposed to disappear entirely?

Hey everyone,

Thank you all for your continued feedback throughout this rollout. It has been incredibly helpful to hear your thoughts as we work to improve the editor experience.

Since our last update, we have taken your input into account and made several refinements along the way. We recognize that changes like this can take time to adjust to, and we appreciate the thoughtful discussions around what is working well and what could be improved.

Here are our plans to address the remaining feedback:

  • Copy/Paste issues – We have heard your reports on inconsistencies with copy and paste workflows, and we are actively working on a fix.
  • UI consistency and styling – Some of you have noted minor inconsistencies in styling and layout across different parts of the editor. We hear you, and while this rollout will not address every UI quirk, we are taking an iterative approach and will continue making improvements over time.
  • Features based on screen size – Some of you mentioned items like the “Saved” indicator and undo/redo accelerators are missing, but we wanted to clarify they are still available for most screensizes. However, depending on screen size, certain elements may be positioned differently.

With these plans in place, we are confident that the new toolbar is in a solid place, and we will be ramping up the rollout to 100%. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline the editor, and you will continue to see refinements as we make further updates in the future.

We truly appreciate all the feedback that has come through. Every comment helps shape how we continue to improve the editor. Thank you again for being part of this process, and we look forward to sharing more updates with you soon.

Previously, I was able to manually enter specific zoom percentages in the Bubble app canvas, allowing precise control over the zoom level. However, this functionality has changed, and now the only way to adjust zoom is through incremental clicks. To reach 800%, I have to click eight times, and to revert to 100%, I need to click another eight times. This process is tedious and inefficient. Additionally, keyboard shortcuts do not work as expected. Instead of controlling the zoom within the Bubble app canvas, they affect the entire browser window, making them ineffective for precise canvas adjustments. Has anyone found a workaround for this issue, or is there any way to restore the previous zoom functionality?

Can you please help me find “Saved” indicator in my screen?

Is there a way to pin the toolbar so that it’s always there. If not, please could they give us this option, even if it’s in your app settings or something.

The main reason is that when the toolbar’s hidden and you click on an element, the toolbar appears and shifts the whole editor down, which most times causes that element to be unintentionally dragged somewhere else. Just makes the whole process so much more delicate now and I’m forever having to undo the action because it’s dragged the element out of a group or something.

I’d rather have the toolbar take up space than having to walk on eggshells every time I select something in the editor.

Yes, you just need to click the Bubble icon at the upper left of the screen, then go to “View” and you’ll find “Lock Property Editor.”

@alex.bolanos like the new look and feel but the entire toolbar disappears randomly. Is this expected behavior?

  1. The “Deploy” button doesn’t work half the time when you click it.

  2. Switching from Main to Live or vice versa takes way too many clicks and mouse movements, very painful for no reason. Should be simplified.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a quick update on the toolbar based on some of the feedback we’ve been seeing.

As of today, you’ll notice a few small but meaningful changes:

  • Version control has been moved to the right-hand side of the toolbar, now sitting just to the left of the Preview button. This was a direct response to feedback that the previous placement was confusing.
  • We’ve also adjusted some of the input sizing and spacing, giving the toolbar more breathing room overall.
  • These changes help improve usability, especially when working at narrower screen widths where buttons were previously being cut off or hidden.

We made these updates not just in response to the feedback, but also in preparation for some upcoming mobile editor improvements which will make room for Native Mobile. So this layout update helps set the stage for what’s coming next.

Let us know what you think, and thank you for the continued feedback!

– Alex
