Prospect of Bubble Developer Career (Reignited)

I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but I have to ask. This question has been asked before in 2018 by someone in the same category.

This 2024 going 2025 is it still worth it? I’m a web development hobbyist (rails, vue, django) a long time ago. Got my computer science degree in 2016. I created some mobile and web app made from Flutterflow for my family’s business. Created my own plugin on cTrader with C#. But I never tried getting a job yet. So I thought, what’s a the next no code alternative for Flutterflow, maybe I could start working on that and make a living. Stumbled upon Bubble on Reddit. However, I couldn’t see any Bubble job listings on LinkedIn. I mean, how do people do it? Where do people get their feet wet?

Also with the recent Issue I’ve come across people complaining about is WU overload capacity which is something I don’t understand yet. If I build something for my portfolio, am I going to be affected by this? With the recent pricing complaints, are clients going away and Bubble no longer a viable platform to use to make a living? Although, I’ve seen a fair share of people who say they make good money. My thoughts are just for something entry level who is yet to enter the workforce and build some skills on. Should I look to join an agency right away or where do people find employment if not on LinkedIn. The fiverr space look too saturated with Bubble devs as there are multitudes of them to choose from, so it must not be a good place to start?

The nocode space is growing rapidly, thus the amount of Developers increased significantly over the past 3 years. The best way to find projects as a freelancer (in my experience) is to:

Be active in the forum
Be active on Twitter
Do cold calls to startup incubators/small firms in your country

Nope…for apps on free plan in portfolio you shouldn’t get charged as you shouldnt use much workflows

As with any career, you’re going to find examples that confirm that getting into Bubble is a great idea, and examples that tell you otherwise.

This forum is a great place to start to learn bubble, to network and to find work. You’ve asked a lot of questions and here are my responses to some of them:

People use this forum to find work but you’ve got to get good at building with bubble first. Generally, a personal project is the best way to get your feet wet.
For those who get the transition to WU, and can figure out how to optimize their apps, WU is not going to be an issue. So my advice would be to learn as much as possible. You have a software background and that is a huge advantage when it comes to building performant apps.
Bubble is the leader in the #nocode space for entrepreneurs and founders to turn their ideas into software, and there will always be room for good developers, agencies and freelancers to make money. Of course, we have to offer and deliver good value, and also learn and adapt.
If your skills are strong, and you are bubble Certified, joining an agency is a good next step. The variety and diversity of projects will lead to gaining solid experience.

Now those are some answers to my questions. I expected to get answers like these from an American or European but I’m surprised and grateful you did!
