Hey there!
I just started with Bubble.io last weekend and I’ve already made great progress on an app by following Gregory’s tutorials on Youtube. I’m working on an app where Users can create Prospects with a data field, and then the user can create Assets for those Prospects. Users, Prospects, and Assets are all Data Types with their own fields.
The issue I’m running into seems like it should be easy to fix, I’m just starting to understand the data organization and thought y’all could help.
The User uses a button to create a Prospect, which creates a popup for Prospect data entry. Within that popup, there is another button ‘New Asset’ that allows the User to create an Asset for that Prospect.
General advice in this situation is welcome, but my specific issue is regarding what data needs to be displayed to each popup when the buttons are clicked. The Add Asset popup is Type of Content: Asset and the Add Prospect popup is Type of Content: Prospect, so the system isn’t letting me pass information from the Prospect Popup to the Asset Popup unless I change the Asset Popup Type of Content to ‘Prospect’.
It’s my understanding that since Users can have many Prospects, and Prospects can have many Assets, that all three should be independent Data Types. Is this true?
The goal is after adding/editing multiple New Assets, the User can view a table of all assets for that Prospect on the Add/Edit Prospect popup. Ultimately, this is a prospect/pipeline tracking app, so I’ll want to use those assets in charts/tables down the road on a dashboard.
Thank you,
