# Question Re: Recurring Events

I’m setting up a Recurring Event in the API Workflows that will be a regularly scheduled POST call. The thing the Event will act upon is a Merchant. I want the API call to be made for the correct, specific Merchant. In the conditional, what is the correct expression?:

“Current Workflow’s Merchant’s shop name is…” or “Do a Search for Merchant’s:first item’s shop name is…”

It is hard to tell since it depends on how you set up your workflow. But if the type of thing of the recurring event is the merchant, the the current merchant will be the thing you’re running the recurring event on.
