[RELEASED] Selectize dropdown

Hello @Jici,

I might be having issues with the ‘Item Added’ event.

Seems when I have ‘Reset Items’ at the end,
Selectize re-runs ‘Item Added’, causing a loop.

Has anyone experienced this?

Let me check that. Reset items should be set to silent so it should not trigger item added.

I appreciate it Jici. Amazing plugin btw! Sheesh!

lil more context; just incase:

Also @Jici, do you have plans of adding

  • 's Last Value Created
  • 's Last ID Created

Fix released. Please update to last version 1.9.1

For your questions about adding values created or ID created. No plan because actually the value is in Added. So this will be the same result in Value Added or Created.
For the ID, if you are using dynamic value from DB, you need to create it and there’s no way for me to know the new ID of this item. Using Reset should put the new ID in the All Values ID
What is your use case that may need this feature?

Thank you @Jici!

Updated to new patch, but I’m still experiencing the same issues. While both adding and removing

Adding Item Steps

  4. Add 1 tag
  5. Add 2 tags

You will start seeing this looping behaviour even with 1.9.1

This loops 4x (seems to be 1 more than the # of items)
After going through this example, I did 5 items and

Wicked plugin!

One bug I noticed, Open on Focus unchecked doesnt work. It still opens the dropdown as per normal.
Tested on chrome windows and android.

Happy to share more details if needed to debug

Hi @LWeiLi
Can you share a screenshot of your full settings of Dropdown?
I have tested in mine and it was working fine. So maybe there’s a conflict between two settings.

Thanks

I just found out what the conflict is.

I had my conditional as this which automatically opens the dropdown even with Open on Focus unchecked:

I suppose that we cant have conditional focus styling and that at the same time?

An upcoming version will have a better handling of options settings update from conditionnal. Actually, the main thing that get updated are all related to style.

I will do a test for conditonal focus.
Did you test to set on your condition, the focus styling AND also the setting for open on focus?

Gotcha, its not a critical part for me so just wanted to flag for you.

Tried this, but issue is the same, not working in conflict with this condition

One more thing @Jici, was wondering if you have seen this before
Any advice on this error prompt?

Thanks to report. Seem to be a specific problem from Bubble. I will investigate. I know @shot seen this error in past with another plugin.

Tried a few things, and it seemed connected with the conditions again. I think best to wait to see what you have in store for the upcoming versions! :raised_hands:

I ran into another issue, in some cases, the dropdown does not expand fully when the values are empty. So far it only happens when I clear data from a group that leads to clearing the initial value.

Once a value is selected it performs normally:

Indeed, it was a long-standing issue; but I think it was resolved with the latest plug-in engine. Check if you’re on Version 2.

Just wanted to follow up on this. I guess it was “sort of” fixed. Following is part of the response from a Bubble engineer to a recent follow-up bug report I submitted…

So basically, it’s still borked if the plugin properties are referenced in a condition (which I do a lot), and there is no ETA on a fix. Oh well, what can you do… :man_shrugging:
