@levon In my RG cells I have a group that is only show when the users attached an image to the post they make. This group will under the standard info (profile pic., name, message) and will be collapsed if thereâs no image attached (so that thereâs not strange white space).
Does this plugin handle this so that it scrolls all the way to the bottom both if the group is collapsed and not?
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, our plugin is not checking on the groups within RepeatingGroup whether or not they are collapsed, but it does scroll to the bottom if you choose this option. It comes with a Scrolling Direction feature which you can set it to be Top to Bottom or Bottom to Top.
Our plugin is simply reversing your RepeatingGroup so you donât have to go back through messages you scroll upwards. This is useful when building messaging apps like Whatsapp, which allows you to have all of your recent chat messages being shown down.
It is hard to tell whether or not there could be some problems with custom implementations like this, but the idea is that you can have any app setups with your RG, and our plugin is simply reverting it, but it loads all the data you are pulling from your database as example. The best way would be testing it to see if it satisfies your needs. Bubble doesnât allow plugin trials, but in case you have a paid plan you can simply subscribe to the plugin and it will charge you monthly fee / 31, meaning only for the number of days used. If it doesnât help you, just unsubscribe and uninstall the plugin.
Does it works with Ext. Vertical scroll? cause the thing is that Iâd like to have a full screen chat, and Bubble has basically no ways to make the height responsive, and even with js or a plugin I donât know how it will behave with RGs, so the ext. vertical scrolling with a reversed rg would be the solution. Is it possible?
Thanks for reaching out. Yes, it does work with Ext. vertical scrolling. But could you please relate a bit more on how youâre trying to build your app? Because it really depends on your app setups whether or not the plugin allows you to accomplish it.
I got the Reverse Repeating Group plugin, but I need help with some issues please:
It introduced margins in my RG on the opposite side to the scroll bar (almost as if there is a hidden scroll bar there), which I didnât like, how can I ensure margins are 0px?
To âscroll upâ the user has to âscroll downâ with the mouse wheel - which is not ideal. Is there a workaround for this or maybe I have incorrect configuration?
I need the scrool bar on the right, however this introduces a âright alignmentâ on all text, while I need the text to be left-aligned. I managed to do this with CSS (using â!Importantâ to ensure my alignment was going to work), but can this maybe be fixed in the plugin - so the I can chose alignment of text and the scroll bar position independently? I donât like using CSS unless itâs really necessary.
Weâre going to check on this one to see whether or not it is possible to find a workaround solution.
Unfortunately, our plugin doesnâtâ offer such functionality, but you can really try to use custom CSS in order to make it look as you like as this would be the fastest workaround. However, could you please share screenshots and/or screencast of your app so we can check on it with our developers, to see if there is anything we can do about it.
If youâd like to keep just the ones that are visible then it is best to use the Vertical scrolling because our plugin is simply reverting the RepeatingGroup, but its settings remain the same. So if you choose to extend the vertical scroll, it is going to work as intended!
You see the picture on the left should be showing in a full circle, but it seems that the reverse repeating group has an invisible scroll bar there. So one option is to move my image to the right, but it doesnât look good specially on mobileâŚas then the empty space on the left becomes too much.
I just wanted to somehow remove that âinvisible scroll barâ or this margin / padding from the left side while my scrollbar is on the right side.
In the picture above, the audio player (html) should be behind the popup; and the video player (html) is behind the popup where there is a RG, but its bottom half is on top of the popup.
I think somehow the style that is part of the Reverse Repeating Group is conflicting with the other elements I have. Is there a way maybe to remove any styling from the Reverse Repeating Group - if that makes sense?
You are having the right configurations, but the idea is that our plugin is reverting the RepeatingGroup and the scrolling as well. It only happens when you have the scrolling direction as Bottom to Top:
Regarding popup implementation, weâre afraid it is conflicting with some other HTML and elements on your page which we cannot always influence on, unfortunately. However, you can share more details of your app so we can try to replicate a workflow form your end, then see whether or not we can do something about it.

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, these issues do not reproduce on our side. Could you please try to reinstall the plugin and give it a try again?
It is strange because the last version is v1.4.0. In case it happens again - please report a Bubble bug here https://bubble.io/bug_report.
This happens because of the Direction RTL checkbox. Unmark it in order to be positioned properly.
Thanks for feedback. Regarding mobile, it is actually required to build the Responsive design of your web app, because even it is a reversed RepeatingGroup by our plugin, it is still a regular RG that needs responsive work in order to look properly on mobile devices.
As for this one:
You need to unmark it, meaning turning it Off in order to show the messages properly.
In case you still experience the same or any other issues, we could take a look into your app.
