Run step 2 only if step 1 was done

Hi, there was an old post on this but it seems that on those days there was no simple way to do it.

Is there a way to “run step 2 only if step 1 was run successfully” (the conditions for step 1 to happen were true)?

Or should I re write the same conditions of step 1 on step 2? It feels like there should be a way to avoid this re writing of the same thing and just make step 2 conditioned by the accomplishment of step 1.

Please let me know if there some way to do it. Thanks!

Hey there @pachocastillosr!

I know what you mean. Sometime what I do is make a custom workflow, then I trigger it with an ‘only when’ and do the rest of the workflows in that.

Does that make sense?

Hope that helps!

Hi there, @pachocastillosr… it might depend on what step 1 is, but I know I’ve done what you are describing by using an only when condition that checks to see that the result of step 1 is not empty, so maybe that could work for you?

Thanks I’ll try it!
