Saving anonymous user data in the user table

I’ve noticed that I can actually save anonymous user data in my user table. This is actually useful for me in some situation where I want to save data temporarily (like say before signing up and loggin in).

But where is this data actually stored? Since no record is created for it in the database I assume Bubble creates a temporary user object anyway and stores it in cookies or local storage?

Yes, Bubble.io use cookies to store such data.
