This is the best way I can describe what I am looking to do. I want to save it as numerical values so I can display it in a graph and save it as a text list to be able to read out the values. I have no idea how to equate the values to numbers.
Please help! 
Add another attribute to the option set with type number. Add numerical values of options in that field. You can refer to that field to display numbers
