Schedule a recurring event to affect a list of things

The gist of Recurring Events seems intuitive, but I’m a bit confused about “Workflow Things”.

I have an app with a category called Subscription. Each user makes at least one but can make several. Subscriptions have an attribute “DailyCount” that measures how many actions have been performed that day. Every day, at midnight, I want to reset the daily count for ALL Subscriptions:

But this Recurring Event doesn’t seem to do anything. Why not?

Is this related to needing a “Workflow Thing”? Can a recurring event not handle a list like this?

You need to start the recurring event manually. On the front end create a button and set/cancel a recurring event. You’ll want it daily in your case.

Just make sure to place it in an admin only page so no one else has access.
