Hi everyone -
New to Bubble (and web development in general) so please excuse any ignorance on my part…
I’m building a directory of up-and-coming artists that contains information on how to support them in this time of need (e.g., links to merch, crowdfunding campaigns, etc.). Many initiatives of this sort have been launched recently to support restaurants and local businesses, and I’m hoping to do the same for musicians. I’d appreciate some advice on the following items:
- Should I build the directory using Bubble’s database tools or use an external platform (e.g., Airtable)? The table (or list) would likely include the artist’s name and links to socials, DSPs, etc.
- In addition to providing the standard search option, I’d like to include a “Connect to Spotify” button to retrieve a person’s artists from Spotify and compare the results against the list of artists in my directory, displaying the matches. Is this doable in Bubble? If so, how might I implement this feature? And how would it impact how I set up the database?
Hope this makes sense, but happy to clarify if necessary. Would appreciate any tips / advice on how to solve these issues!
