As you guys know, its our responsibility as bubblers and/or software developers to create secure and quality applications that add value to the whole ecosystem. I’ve currently stumbled upon a website called https://buildingwithbubble.com were several courses are available. I bought one that claimed to help you create a “Ticketmaster copy”. Within the first 15 minutes, I noticed that the tutorial was not only lacking, but that it STRAIGHTLY SUGGESTED actions that put into great peril security by INTENTIONALLY exposing user data without privacy rules, which you guys know are of fundamental importance. Also, each step of the tutorial is lazy, misguiding and just prompts you to create a sad, low-budget front end.
Of course, I tried to get my money back but there were no refunds, not even within 15 minutes after the purchase. To be fair, the no refund policy was actually stated on the website (though hidden almost cryptographically, lol), but there’s this thing called customer satisfaction.
I write this to help other bubblers be more aware about security, quality and better ways to find best practices for development. The reason I bought the course was to check if there were some implications specific to bubble while building such an application regarding race conditions, deadlocks, etc. I recommend you guys not buying these tutorials and check proper documentation, videos on youtube or asking the forum.
